Koreatown, Los Angeles, CA
Scope: Design Concept & As-Built
Luz y Ruido is a warehouse in Koreatown, Los Angeles, re-imagined as a live-work space for the creation of music, art, and gatherings. This project transforms an existing industrial structure into a flexible, co-creative environment that balances openness with moments of privacy and focus.
Working within the building’s raw constraints, the design uses light, restraint, and careful spatial organization to support daily life and creative production side by side. Rather than polishing away the warehouse’s character, Luz y Ruido embraces it, allowing noise, texture, and rhythm to shape a resilient space that feels intentional, lived-in, and distinctly LA.
