This project began with a simple but meaningful goal: create more space, light, and ease of living for a homeowner who deeply values craft, longevity, and comfort.
Working within the footprint of an existing Eagle Rock home, we designed a carefully integrated second-story ADU alongside targeted expansions to the main residence. Every decision was guided by how the spaces would be lived in day to day: how light moves through the rooms, how storage is tucked in where it’s needed most, and how old and new architecture speak the same language.
Throughout the project, a soft material palette with warm white walls, light wood accents, and clean detailing ties the spaces together and allows light to become the primary design element. Exterior massing and roof transitions were carefully studied to ensure the addition feels cohesive with the original home rather than an afterthought.
This project reflects our belief that good residential design isn’t about adding more, but about adding intentionally; and creating spaces that feel natural, calm, and quietly well-made.
